Craig Smoove
DJ/Producer Craig Smoove has more than 15 years experience playing coast to coast and across the pond. He got his start DJing in Boston, where the style at the time was mostly hip-hop and very fast paced. At a young age Craig knew he wanted to be a DJ, so he bought his own equipment and hustled to break out as a DJ in downtown Boston venues.
After college Craig was feeling a change and Southern California seemed young and vibrant to the then 20-something Bostonian. So Craig packed up and headed across the country. At the time he only knew one person in San Diego and wasn’t sure how to break into the DJ scene, but more than 11 years later Craig has become a fixture in San Diego nightlife. He has played at San Diego hotspots Omnia, Parq, Fluxx, Oxford Social Club, SideBar and more. Outside of Southern California, Craig’s open format style has enticed crowds at Bounce, LiqrBox, Electric Hotel, Joy District and Key Club in Chicago IL; The DL, Hudson Terrace in NYC NY; Sky SLC in Salt Lake City UT; 1 Oak and Bare Pool in Las Vegas; Revival and Mix Downtown in Sacramento CA; As well as venues in San Francisco CA, Lincoln Nebraska, Atlanta GA, and Scottsdale AZ.
Craig is a true open format dj, drawing his inspiration from the crowd. He will seamlessly modify his set from top 40 to hip-hop to house to EDM based on whatever the club needs. Craig’s DJ style is upbeat and interactive, so you can expect the DJ booth and dance floor to be packed. This versatility has enabled Craig to play alongside such varied artists as: Lil Jon, NGTMRE, Diplo, Post Malone, Ghastly, Tyga, Ice Cube, Party Favor, Playboi Carti, 21 Savage, Laidback Luke, Slushii, Kristian Nairn, Cash Cash, Fetty Wap, Borgeous, Nas, Walshy Fire, Juicy J, Kygo, Busta Rhymes, Diddy, Dzeko, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Brillz, Jeremih, 12th Planet, Armin van Buuren, Manufactured Superstars, Vice and more.
In 2019, Craig is continuing traveling for performances; Currently, Craig can often be found in the studio working on several remixes and original music projects.
